ROUGH SAWN FINISH: Closest solution to the Reclaimed Barn Wood Look
DIFFERENCE between A SIDE vs C SIDE:
- Making an A SIDE includes the following additional steps not needed for a C side:
- strict inspection of each A side after each step of production
- cutting off or removing pieces with bigger cracked knots, bark & wane
- removing the jack pine pieces with natural blue or red colorations so the laminated pieces blend in better within each board
- after planing, putty most holes or knots
- sand each A side of the boards
- Acceptable defects on a C SIDE (planed only,no sanding,no putty):
- Bark, wane, knots or holes that cannot be corrected with on site wood putty & sanding
- Non uniform coloration (blue, red, gray)
- Edge and end joints are more apparent
STABILITY, PERFORMANCE & EASE OF INSTALLATION:
- Kiln Dried uniformly to 6% - 8% before lamination
- Saves time, labor & materials
- Easy & Faster to install than 2 x 6 T&G : Glue it – Fasten it – Each board covers 10 1/2" -Twice more
ADHESIVE USED:
The MOMENTIVE adhesives used in LAMFLOOR do not contain any harmful chemicals that would not be approved for LEED certified project.
